La fame di Camilla - Storia di una favola
This is an up-and-coming Italian music band that is part of Universal Music label. They both got in touch with Soda asking us to conceive their first videoclip of the single "Storia di una favola" ("Story of a tale" in English).
This track speaks about a mother who turns from her sons, so we decided to centre the video around the separation topic, by creating a parallel simile between the mother's child abandon and the "detaching from reality" aimed at taking shelter on a tale.
To translate this concept into images, we shoot a little girl entering her play room, where she has been accurately rebuilding a small town model for many years. As usual she everyday goes into this room to implement her work and she goes very deep in it, by living a 4 people story (the 4 band elements) that takes place in this parallel model world.
During the video plot the time becomes relative, by going very fast or slow. That's why in the end of the video we will see the same little girl has grown, because of the too much time she spent in this parallel dimension, where time goes by as it happens in the real world.
The technique through we realized the shooting is called "tilt shift" and it perfectly gives the idea of being inside a plastic model.
